Virtue Cider closes on land in Fennville, Michigan

Virtue Cider logo(Fennville, MI) – Virtue Cider, the recently-launched cider company by former Goose Island brewmaster, Greg Hall, has closed on a parcel of land in the small town of Fennville, Michigan.

The cidery announced on its Facebook page on Friday that it was closing on a 48-acre property on the corner of 122nd Avenue and 62nd Street, just down the road from Fenn Valley Vineyards. The property features an old farmhouse which Virtue plans to renovate into a tasting room this autumn.

About 1,400 live in the Southwestern Michigan-based town according to City Data.

Virtue RedStreak is the first barrel-aged cider (American oak) to be released and is now available in Chicago. The cidery will debut Lapinette (French Oak) in the fall and The Mitten (Bourbon) in the winter. He plans to release several new ciders in 2013.
