(Burlington, VT) – Magic Hat Brewing sent out a newsletter today announcing the arrival of its Summer Scene variety pack.
This year’s pack includes two new beers: an exclusive “dandelion beer,” Pistil, and a Weiss beer, Elder Betty. #9 and Blind Faith are the other two beers.
Per the brewery website…
Pistil is a summer beer unlike any other, brewed with a combination of dandelion petals, Pale and Acidulated malts, flaked oats, and Apollo and Northern Brewer hops that result in a one-of-a-kind beer with a slightly sour acidity and a smooth malt body.
Elder Betty is a weiss-style ale with a bready malt flavor balanced by a touch of hops and complimented by the tart berry flavors of elderberry.
Magic Hat also has a sleek webpage set up for Elder Betty which is the brewery’s spring summer seasonal in 6-packs.
Finally, readers may recall the brewery’s Participation Election 2012 campaign. Magic Hat has knocked out a few candidates: Jinx, Humble Patience, Fat Angel, Single Chair, Miss Bliss, Mother Lager and Hocus Pocus. One of those remaining three beers will join #9, hI.P.A., and Hex in this fall’s Participation variety pack.
