Weyerbacher Brewing shares $1.1 million expansion plans, up 51% in first two months

(Easton. PA) – Weyerbacher Brewing announced details around its expansion on Monday.

Last year, sales for Easton’s Weyerbacher Brewing Company increased by 34 percent, something president Dan Weirback attributes to a growing demand for craft brewed beers.

Craft brewer Weyerbacher broke ground Monday on a $1.1 million expansion of its Easton brewery, which will enable the company to triple capacity to 30,000 barrels per year. Dan Weirback, president of Weyerbacher, said demand exploded in the past five years as sales tripled and the brewery, at 905 Line St., maxed out production.

[…] sales in January and February jumped 51 percent over the same time period last year, Weirback said. In about a month, the brewery will add four 80-barrel fermenting tanks that will push production capacity to as much as 14,000 barrels this year.

 
Weyerbacher just unveiled its new logo a little over two weeks ago.
