NC state rep confirms Sierra Nevada is coming to North Carolina
North Carolina State Rep. Chuck McGrady told News 4 the Sierra Nevada brewing company will move next to the Asheville Airport in Mills River along Old Fanning Bridge Road.
McGrady said the plant will bring 200 to 300 jobs.
McGrady is the first official on record to confirm media reports about Sierra Nevada coming to North Carolina. The new brewery is estimated to cost around $115-$125 million. A press conference will be held later this afternoon at the site in Henderson County.
Sierra Nevada will continue operations at its brewery in Chico, California.
