Half Acre Beer Co. inks Philly distribution deal
(Philadelphia, PA) – Just received word from Bella Vista Beer Distributors [past BN supporter]…
Bella Vista and Half Acre Beer Co have come to terms on a distribution deal regarding Half Acre Beer brands in Eastern PA. We have been working with Gabriel Magliaro of Half Acre for a few years now. Please keep in mind not a lot of beer will be making its way out here and there may be times when beer is not available at all. Chicagoland is Half Acre’s home and we will always respect that fact. One of the factors that had Matt and Gabriel decide to ship beer east is they are from the area. They grew up in the area and went to school with Jeremy at Neshaminy Creek Brewing Company.
A shipment is expected to arrive this month. It will be draft at first and “mostly always only draft, unless they ever can set aside any cans.” Look for Half Acre Daisy Cutter Pale Ale to start…

You can’t even buy their beer 30 minutes away from the heart of the city, depending on where you’re at. I scoff at the notion that “respect” relative to consumers in the area had anything to do with this one –
I couldn’t agree more. They have little respect for their home market in my opinion because you can’t get their beer anywhere south, west, or far north of the city. Can’t even get their in Dupage county…LAME!
Agreed. Didn’t they say just this summer they weren’t taking on any more accounts in Chicago? I don’t understand this.
I think it’s cool.

I wish I could get it out here too. Daisy Cutter is the best. I just buy it whenever I’m in the city, so not too big a deal that it’s not out here.
