eBay and beer: a Beer Advocate discussion
You may have heard a bit (or a lot) about the debate around re-selling beer on eBay by now. Brewers are pissed about the profits from re-sellers and concerned about beer quality. Buyers and sellers, meanwhile, increasingly prove eBay to be a lucrative marketplace. Buyers have limited or no access to the beers they find on eBay and are willing to pay an arm and a leg for them. Then there’s the trading market where beers take on an inflated value based on rarity.
A poll question here this fall revealed that drinkers are split 50-50 over the issue of re-selling beer.
