(Munster, IN) – The Shelton Brothers released a newsletter last week revealing that the collaboration between Mikkeller and Three Floyds Brewing, a Buckwheat Wine called Boogoop, would be released very soon. “We asked that they make a lot. They did.” The beer weighs in at 10.4% ABV and was brewed at De Proef in Belgium.
This is their fourth collaboration to hit bottles after Hvedegoop, Oatgoop and Ruggoop.
If you haven’t looked at Mikkeller’s Twitter pics, they reveal that the life of a nomadic brewer is an interesting one. Same with Stillwater Ales and then the slightly more domesticated ‘Evil Twin’ brother, Jeppe.
Speaking of those three, the newsletter also makes brief mention that The Shelton Brothers will be teaming up with 12% Imports on a beer festival to take place in Worcester, Massachusetts, next June. 12% Imports imports/distributes Stillwater Ales and Evil Twin Brewing.
This is definitely something I’d love to try. Any word on price or distribution?
I just picked up a bottle (750ml) for about $12 at Holiday Market in Royal Oak Michigan. It came HIGHLY recommended.
