Aspen Brewing’s tumultuous year ends with glimmer of hops
Also coming soon — by mid-January, Clauss said — are Aspen Brewing Co. cans. The IPA and blonde will be packaged in aluminum cans that will be available in liquor stores.
Clauss and partners had planned to be brewing in the space last April. But due to a problem with a supplier of the new brewing equipment, which was paid $159,000 but didn’t complete the order, there was a delay. The brewery sued the supplier — Stromberg Tanks International of San Diego, Calif. — in September, and won a default judgment for $390,000 in November. Stromberg never answered or otherwise responded to the lawsuit complaint.
And yes, I did mean the title to be a pun.
