Anchor Brekle’s Brown Ale going year-round

Anchor Brekle's Brown

(San Francisco, CA) – Anchor Brewing recently met its lack of social media and web savvy head-on with an all-new website and extremely active Facebook and Twitter pages. Per one of the recent Facebook updates

Brekle’s Brown was first brewed nearly one year ago as a special release for 2011 SF Beer Week. A true blend of Anchor Brewing’s past and present, Brewmaster Marc Carpenter’s original recipe is inspired by the all-malt brown ales in Anchor Brewing’s archives and generously hopped with a new American hop varietal, Citra. While originally intended to be draft only, the overwhelming positive response led to additional batches for 22oz bottling.

Now, as Brekle’s Brown approaches its one year anniversary, it will be available year-round in six packs of 12oz. bottles beginning January 2012, as well as 22oz bottles and draft. We hope you’ll join us in enjoying a Brekle’s Brown.

One thing to note, some places will start seeing 6-packs this month as it’s already been shipped.

There is also a new beer in development for San Francisco Beer Week though there has been no talk of whether it will follow the same path as Brekle’s Brown Ale.
