Press Release:

(Middlebury, VT) – Woodchuck Hard Cider is again expanding its line of craft cider. This fall will see the debut of the Farmhouse Select Hard Cider Series. Farmhouse Select is a small batch artisanal line, featured in a 750ml corked bottle.

The first of the Farmhouse Select Series: Original ’91. It’s a throwback to our early days in cider making. The year was 1991. A winemaker began tinkering with apples in a Proctorsville, Vermont garage. It gave birth to an original American hard cider. Woodchuck Hard Cider.

Made with only fresh local Vermont apples and premium Belgian beer yeast, Original ’91 has a natural cloudiness and pleasing feel on the palate. Every expertly crafted small batch pairs well with artisanal cheeses and pork dishes.

A new bottling line will be dedicated exclusively to the Farmhouse Select Series. At 6.9% alcohol by volume (ABV), Original ’91 has a suggested retail price of $10.99 per bottle, with year-round availability in major markets across the United States.

Farmhouse Select – Original ’91. Never forget your roots. We haven’t.
