(Pacific City, OR) – Pelican Brewery‘s idea to sell Mother of All Storms online didn’t exactly go off as planned this morning.

Predictably, the backup plan to conduct sales by phone instead of the internet hasn’t gone smoothly either. Per Twitter…

One person reported that he rang the phone over 60 times in order to get through. Another said it took him 90 minutes to get through. Wow, 97 calls and 150 minutes later, someone is successful.

To Pelican’s credit, those who got through on the phone lines were singing the praises of President, Ken Henson, for keeping his cool through the ordeal.

The website is back up after this morning’s crash though the link to the Mother of All Storms sale appears to have been removed.
