New Brooklyn Brewery warehouse lease owner plans to convert space into residential property
UPDATE: See press release.
This could get interesting…but maybe not for a long while.
Two years ago, Brooklyn Brewery decided to expand into 21,000 square feet on the North 11th Street side of the property. Its lease runs through 2025, according to Mr. Dolgin.

Hindy also stated (in a somewhat vague manner) that “We’re only now getting to the point where we’re probably ready to build our own big brewery north of the city,” when discussing their continued use of F X Matt for much of their beer, in an interview with the Nona Brooklyn website last month.

Good catch. I skipped right over that one when I
readskimmed it & posted here. There are several inaccuracies in this story that need correcting. First, this building houses our warehouse across the street from our brewery, not the brewery itself. Second, we have occupied all 35,000 sq ft of the space since 1991. I have no idea where the idea that we moved into an additional 21,000 sq ft two years ago comes from.
