Dogfish Head Squall IPA cancelled, 75 Minute IPA bottles re-approved

(Milton, DE) – Recall my humorous speculations from last week regarding the surrender of the Dogfish Head 75 Minute IPA label. Well, that same day, the brewery submitted a new label and this week, it was approved.

So what is the difference? They added the word, “brewed” before “with maple syrup” and had forgot to add ‘DE’ in the list of eligible states for bottle returns. Oh, and the thing about being released in an embossed bottle is now gone from the application.

So it looks like 75 Minute IPA will make its bottle debut, after all, in 750s.

However, with the brewery pretty much at capacity, it comes at a price.

Dogfish Head is no longer producing Squall IPA according to the brewery’s Facebook account. The decision appears to have also included the batch that was supposed to be released this month.
