(Brooklyn Center, MN) – Look at what is being bottled today…Surly Darkness! If you haven’t seen the full Darkness Day event details yet, then head over to the Facebook event page.

For those who want to buy bottles of Darkness, 1200 people will receive wristbands. Each person with a wristband will be able to purchase up to six 750ml bottles of Darkness for $18 each, CASH ONLY. Those who did not receive a wristband will be able to buy up to four bottles of Darkness starting at 4PM (while quantities last).

Darkness will hit stores beginning on 10/31.

A new beer called Damien will make its debut at Darkness Day as well:

From the blackest depths of the brewhouse comes Damien, Child of Darkness. Spawned from the usually discarded remnants of Darkness, Damien is a dry-hopped black ale. Flavors of roasted malt and dark brown sugar suffocated by aromas of tangerine and pine. 35 IBUs, 5% ABV.

In addition to the bottling of Darkness today, more cans of Surly WET will roll off the canning line today, this week and next week (per Haug’s Twitter feed – @surlybrewer).
