Report: DESTIHL Restaurant and Brew Works to bottle sours

No timetable but according to Lee ‘Hoptopia’ Williams…

I spoke briefly with one of DESTIHL’s representatives who informed me that the brewery had near future plans to begin bottling their sours. When they do, expect them to become highly sought after. DESTIHL and their St, Dekkera sours, were without hesitation the shining standout discovery of GABF 2011.

Along with Williams, both Mike at Hoosier Beer Geek and Jeff at Beervana were impressed with what they tasted though the beers have had a mixed reception with reviewers on RateBeer.

DESTIHL is based in Normal, Illinois Indiana.

  1. I agree. I had this at the GABF. They have some killer stuff. Once they get some more time they will no doubt need to be in Colorado. That way I can get more

  2. Don’t count on much distribution. If you’ve ever been to Destihl, you’d know they literally only have ~12 or so barrels total. This is truly small batch, though they are looking at expanding. I’ve been on these guys for about 2 years now and love the progress that they’ve made. Keep it up!
