(Portsmouth, NH) – The Portsmouth Brewery updated its website on Thursday with some Kate the Great Imperial Stout news:
The date for 2012’s Kate the Great Release is selected.
Come celebrate Kate Day with us on Monday, March 5, 2012. Please mark your calendars and plan to join us for this festive, once-a-year event. The basic format will be the same as last year, with a few notable changes. Here are some highlights:
• We plan to open our doors at 11:00AM and will serve Kate till the taps run dry.
• The same volume of Kate will be brewed as in years past. (Sorry, folks, that’s all we can do!)
• Scratch tickets will again be used to distribute bottled Kate.
• This year’s Kate will be put into smaller bottles (330ml/11.2oz) to increase availability.
Smaller bottle size is the way to go with these stouts.
Good Call. I hope more breweries take steps to help spread the wealth.
Kate is a beer more hyped by the Alstrom’s site than any other.
It’s a really good beer, man. I’ll vouch for it. I don’t know if any beer is worth lining up for at the wee hours of the morning though.
