(Tampa, FL) – Some Cigar City news fresh off of the hop bine…
Head Brewer, Wayne Wambles, on production: Likely to hit between 8,000 and 8,500 barrels of production this year. (That would be an increase in production of 130-150% from 2010 output of 3,500 barrels according to the Brewers Association). Produced almost 900 barrels in September alone.
Owner, Joey Redner, on expansion: Currently distributed in Florida, New York, Pennsylvania, Alabama, Georgia (and a little in Denmark). Will focus on being a Southeast regional brewery in the near future. As far as expansion of distribution, will look at North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia first and then the rest of the East Coast as capacity allows.
