New York beer store releases Canadian Breakfast Stout early
Which means that a lot of stores in New York and probably in other states probably have their one case or so already…
Shoreline Beverage reported on Facebook a few hours ago that Founders Canadian Breakfast Stout came and went. Founders has explicitly said that liquor stores should not release the beer before October 3rd. Founders is one of the only breweries that makes this request with its specialty line (that I am aware of) so when a store lets out a beer early, it seems to always relate to a Founders release.
Last night, I posted the list of NY retailers to which SKI Beer would be distributing CBS. Cross Shoreline off of that list now.

I think that Stone Brewing Co. sets release dates for at least some of their beers that they ask retailers to stick to (Vertical Epic’s come to mind, maybe others).
Bell’s is also quite strict about their release dates
