Google experiments with serving up ABV info in search

Google is experimenting with search results related to ABVs of certain beers. The feature works on only a handful of them at the moment but gives some clues as to how Google may handle searches for data, in general, in the future. Google outputs a result based on the consensus of a number of sources. If a bunch of people blog that the ABV for Beer X is Y, Google can parse that and relay it as metadata at the top of search. Remember Wolfram Alpha? Try searching ‘zombie dust abv’ or ‘stone ipa abv’ to see it in action. 99% of the beers you try won’t work though.

If you find a search that works, post it in the comments.

Hat tip to Redditor, redbenn, for the find.
