(Silverdale, WA) – Silver City Brewery, the Kitsap Peninsula’s premier award-winning, handcrafted brewery, today announced the year round release of WhoopPass Double IPA.

Due to popular demand and a stable hop supply, Silver City has answered the call of Washington hopheads and craft beer fans alike. WhoopPass has been a Summer Seasonal offering for the past 8 years and has been released around June each year. Whoop Pass has been a highly sought after brew from Silver City since it was first brewed in 2003.” We are extremely pleased to be brewing Whoop Pass year round,” says Brewmaster Don Spencer, “ As a brewer you want to make beers that are bold, impactful and get people excited. That definitely describes the Whoop Pass”.

Due to the normalizing of hop prices and availability, Silver City’s heavily hopped WhoopPass Double IPA became an annual possibility of supply meeting demand. “ Whoop Pass uses a ridiculous amount of hops. We like it that way. “ says the Brewmaster “ During the hop crisis, we weren’t going to change the recipe just to brew more Whoop. We just had to wait for the hop growers and supply to catch up.” Co-owner Scott Houmes added “This was the perfect time to release the Whoop. Our production facility in Bremerton is operating on all cylinders which has enabled all of our Whoop Fans to enjoy their favorite IPA.” Silver City will offer a new Summer Seasonal to be released May-June 2011 to take the place of WhoopPass. The name and style of the new Summer Seasonal to be released later this year.
