(Fort Collins, CO) – On January 3, 2011, Odell Brewing will release its Red Ale, an American style red that follows its winter warmer, Isolation Ale, as part of the brewery’s seasonal lineup of beers.
“Odell’s Red Ale is a revelation,” said 5280 Magazine in their September 2010 issue. “It’s malty and just a tad sweet, but it’s balanced out with a dose of hops that makes this incredibly drinkable.”
Featuring an array of aggressive American hops, Red Ale has a spicy floral nose and a crisp citrus finish. The brew pours a subtle ruby color with a bright, foamy head. At 6.5% ABV, the ale pairs well with a variety of dishes including sharp tangy cheeses, Indian curry, or burgers.
Odell Brewing celebrated the return of Red Ale with a tapping party in the brewery’s Tap Room on December 29th. Visitors enjoyed live music and samples of the beer paired with local cheese from Haystack Mountain Goat Dairy. A few lucky guests won free six packs for donning their best goat attire.
Red Ale is available January through April throughout the brewery’s nine state distributor region.
