(Pleasantville, NY) – Captain Lawrence Brewing got a new beer, Five Years Later, approved this week.

There is no release information available for this but here’s the label copy:

Five years later, I look back at all we have gone through to get where we are today and I smile. It has been an amazing journey in one of the greatest industries in the world. We have met a ton of new friends, all in the name of great beer! This beer was brewed to celebrate all the great times we have had and plan on having in the future. Brewed with five different malts and five hop varieties this deep, dark and hoppy ale is meant to be enjoyed with friends. Straight from the captain’s cellar to yours, we hope you enjoy! – Scott Vaccaro

It has received approval for 750 bottles and draft; no ABV is listed.

Other notes of interest…

Via Twitter, “Just getting numbers together from 2010, looks like we produced about 3800 kegs more than 2009, increase of about 45%.”

…The brewery released Smoke from the Oak three-packs about two weeks ago. Deciphering recent brewery tweets, it sounds like there were 1,000 packs produced and about half of them went out to Manhattan Distributors. I’m guessing the supply dried up pretty fast if I’m interpreting those numbers correctly but there could be some still out there. Lee Williams (Hoptopia) got a really nice bottle shot.
