BrewDog Sink the Bismarck!, Tactical Nuclear Penguin on way to U.S.

(Aberdeen, SCOTLAND) – Two storied BrewDog beers make their pilgrimage across the high seas…

Back in April, Time Magazine (of all sources) reported that Tactical Nuclear Penguin was “in the process of being shipped to a few stores in California and New York City.” I’m not entirely sure whether that ever happened but, if not, something to that effect is happening as we speak.

BrewDog Managing Director, James Watt, tells me that approximately 500 bottles each of Sink the Bismarck! and Tactical Nuclear Penguin are currently at sea en route to the States. Where those beers will eventually land is anyone’s guess at the moment. They are currently retailing on the BrewDog website for 70 pounds plus shipping for the pair.

Though the media coverage of those two releases pales in comparison to the media mayhem that ensued after The End of History announcement, agree or disagree, they remain legendary examples of storytelling in beer.

On an unrelated note, Watt did not have much of an update to offer on the Bitch Please collaboration with Three Floyds. Watt said that it will be aged for a while and is expected to be bottled in early 2011.
