(Hooksett, NH) – Another update on White Birch Brewing. Another new ale drops next week.
On the subject of Anniversary Ale, White Birch’s Bill Herlicka says: “There are six cases coming out next week and I’ll be doing a small segment on PFG TV to talk about achieving this awesome milestone. As far as the beer, I’ve tried a lot of different styles and I’ll admit I’m not not having luck comparing it to a style. The birch sap and our house yeast take this beer in a fascinating direction. I’m really excited to have had the chance to make this beer and I think our fans will really enjoy this brew. I must say thanks to Marc Robie of Robie Farm cheese in Piermont NH for harvesting the birch sap for me.” 7.6% ABV in 22’s.
Elysium Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout will be released in September. Per the label, “”Elysium is simply a place or condition of ideal happiness. Our idea of happiness is a barrel-aged stout to share with family and good friends. Each barrel we use is carefully selected, filled with stout and aged till it’s ready. There is no hurrying a barrel. For this we think the effort is well worth the wait.” 10% ABV in 22’s. Herlicka says he has five barrels and will bottle this beer “by the barrel.” Depending on the angel’s share, anywhere from 25 to 40 cases are estimated.
