(Philadelphia, PA) – For Year Two of [the Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation’s] “With Love, Philadelphia XOXO” campaign, we’ve teamed up with Victory Brewing Company to create With Love, Philadelphia XOXO’s Summer Love Ale.

It’s brewed locally in Chester County with pale malts, German hops and Brandywine River water, and will start flowing freely at bars and restaurants throughout the city, region and country on June 4, 2010—just in time for Philly Beer Week. (Beer week events where the Summer Love ale will be available are still shaping up.)

We settled on a golden ale style due to this style’s broad appeal with exciting hop notes. Per Victory, here are details on the brew:
– Vibrant and refreshing pale color derived from lean and refreshing malt body
– Initially floral aroma of hops will segue in to well integrated, refreshing hop dryness of European heritage

The Summer Love ale is a liquid history of Philadelphia’s prominence in the brewing world – and that’s why it fits perfectly as a way to promote Philadelphia and The Countryside.

We are SO excited for this partnership! A Philadelphia brew – how cool is that?
