Dogfish Head Wrath of Pecant to be released mid-March

dfh_wrath-2(Milton, DE) – Dogfish Head will soon release the BA/DFH collaboration beer it debuted at Beer Advocate’s Extreme Beer Fest, Wrath of Pecant, in bottles.

According to a brewery rep, there will be 750-800 cases of the beer released beginning the weekend of March 12-13. This is “The Weekend of Compelling of Ales and Whatnot.” Those who are one of the first 100 to sign up for a tour will have the option to buy up to eight bottles. Otherwise, those who come to the brewery will be limited to four bottles. Click that link for more information.

Bottles are expected to last a while at the brewery and some will likely be made available at the Rehoboth Beach brewpub. These are 750’s with an ABV of what appears to be 6.3%. There are currently no plans for distribution.

As an added bonus for Rehoboth Beach visitors only, Dogfish Head will be releasing Liquor De Malt. There are only 240 bottles and limit is two brown-bagged 40’s per person.

– Two 40-ounce brown-bagged Bottle Limit (only 240 bottles available).

Perhaps the most unique aspect of the beer is the pecan-smoked malt. Here is more info on Wrath of Pecant.

  2. Had this at EBF… not worth the hype in the least. If bottles show up around here I’ll try it again, but it was one of few things I had at either the NotB or EBF that were terrible to the point I had to dump my sample.
