The latest beer in the Artisan Ale Series will be Wagon Wheel Stout, available in 750mls and on draft this Saturday.
Wagon Wheel Stout is a rich and creamy stout matured in Buffalo Trace bourbon barrels with fresh, organic cherries. After 12 months of aging the brew is a full-bodied composition that pours deep black with ruby lacing and a chocolate head. The aromas of oak and bourbon are followed by the sweet delights of cherries and chocolate, finishing with subtle notes of roasted coffee. The label for Wagon Wheel Stout was designed by local artist Carrie Custis, who will be on hand on the 4th to sign bottles. Carrie’s photography will be on display and available for purchase at the ale house all month long. The Artisan Ale Project is Twisted Pines year-long celebration of the artistic creativity which makes Colorado unique. Each month in 2012, a different beer is labeled with works by and inspired local artist and a distinctive new beer is born.
