Hard to say how much we should be reading into that 9% number in January. Schlafly is under such capacity constraints that it is outsourcing some of the brews elsewhere. Surprising nonetheless.
St. Louis Brewery sold 42,961 barrels of beer in 2011, up 22.5 percent from 35,066 in 2010, according to data the brewery’s co-founder Dan Kopman provided. In January, the brewer sold 3,119 barrels of beer, up 9 percent from 2,863 in January 2011.
