(Mount Pleasant, SC) – According to Evil Twin Brewing Founder, Jeppe Jarnit-Bjergsø, the brewery will release its first beer in cans in 2012. Jarnit-Bjergsø says that the label approval that came through this past week for Hipster Ale is just a draft and that the part about the beer being bottled is an error.
Hipster Ale is the first Evil Twin beer to go in cans. Bikini Beer cans will eventually follow. Brewing and production is taking place at Westbrook Brewing in South Carolina and distribution is through Twelve Percent Imports. The addition of cans is part of an ongoing partnership with Westbrook that Evil Twin announced this past fall.
Evil Twin formed in 2011. Jarnit-Bjergsø is a so-called “nomadic brewer” similar to brother, Mikkel Borg Bjergsø of Mikkeller, and fellow Twelve Percents teammate, Brian Strumke of Stillwater Artisanal Ales.

Really? Am I confusing this? Cause Hipster Ale bottles are on the shelves at my local store right now.
There are Williamsburg Hipster Ale bottles which is what you might be seeing. I’m actually not sure whether it is the same exact beer but it will definitely be going into cans.
Not the same as Williamsburg. Actually we made 6 different Hipster Ales for 6 different cities already. The canned will be an “overall” Hipster Ale, new recipe!
Jeppe
So, I gather that these cans are just for the US market as they’re being brewed and canned in South Carolina…
Any chance of Evil Twin becoming available in New Jersey in the future??
can i get this in Chattanooga for my bar the hair of the dog?
contact 12percent imports for distribution!
Will this as over-priced as the rest of the line? $20 a 6 pack?
